Dec 6 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: TO BE LIKE JESUS
Colossians 2:6 “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:”
Since we have received salvation, let’s emulate the perfect “One.” Jesus is our perfect example of holy living. Let us walk in love and humility, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. As God’s Word says in Romans 12:9, “Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.”

Dec 5 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: WALKING IN TRIUMPH
Dec 5 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: WALKING IN TRIUMPH
Revelation 3:21: “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”
Whenever we encounter temptation or any other trial, we should look at it as an opportunity to overcome situations that God has already designed for us to be victorious over. Jesus overcame death and sits on the throne, inviting you to join Him in victory. Since He was the lamb slain before the foundation of the world, His plan to overcome death and sin existed in eternity. His will is for you to overcome sin as well.
How does Christ’s walk to triumph inspire your walk to triumph?

Dec 4 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: WHICH WAY ARE YOU GOING?
Dec 4 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: WHICH WAY ARE YOU GOING?
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Life comes with many challenges and with each challenge comes an opportunity to choose how we will walk through the moment – victoriously or defeated. One way to choose victory is to minister good works throughout your journey. For example, if you’re facing financial difficulty, sow a monetary seed into someone else’s life. If you’re discouraged, encourage someone else. Soon you will embrace life’s journey as it comes, and your walk will look like Jesus’, filled with good works.

Dec 3 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: GOD’S WORD PROVIDES DIRECTION
Dec 3 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: GOD’S WORD PROVIDES DIRECTION
Psalm 119:105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Oftentimes in life, we are uncertain of important decisions that we should make, but God’s Word provides guidance for our everyday situations (both large and small). Jesus declared that “I am the way, the truth, and the life..(John 14:6).” So the Bible serves as our ultimate guide and His Word provides light for each and every circumstance. Therefore, we should pray and meditate on God’s Word continually. Thank you Lord for giving us Your powerful Word and providing divine guidance.

Dec 1 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET IT RIGHT
Dec 1 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET IT RIGHT
I John 2:5-6 “But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”
Though we were born in sin and shapen in iniquity, the Lord has given all of us the opportunity to come out of sin. When we say we will walk like God, in essence, we are saying we will do what He requires continually. Obedience, prayer, and praise are essential to walking like Him. Pride, bad attitudes, and bad motives will stifle our walk. But when we read and apply God’s Word, He gives us the grace to walk victoriously despite any pitfalls we may encounter along the way.

Nov 30 ~ KNOWING THE GOD WHO HEARS: WHEN THE PANDEMIC IS OVER…
Nov 30 ~ KNOWING THE GOD WHO HEARS: WHEN THE PANDEMIC IS OVER…
Psalm 103:2 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”
The greatest tragedy that we can experience is to come out of this Pandemic the same way we entered it. What a tragedy it would be for the Church to come out weaker, worse, less trusting of God, still prideful, less appreciative of Him, and less appreciative of His house! This time shows us how God can stretch out His hand and things can change in a matter of moments. When the Pandemic is over, let us have this testimony: We now have a greater drive to come to church, to seek God’s face more, and to thank Him more. This is again is the Church’s finest hour!

Nov 29 ~ KNOWING THE GOD WHO HEARS: THE BENEFITS OF HAVING A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
Nov 29 ~ KNOWING THE GOD WHO HEARS: THE BENEFITS OF HAVING A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
Hebrews 4:15 “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
Having a personal relationship with God offers so many benefits. He listens to you no matter the problem whether great or small. He gives you an answer, either through His Word or spoken, that always lines up with His Word. When you pray and are obedient to His Word, the Lord will actively work through you and for you. Remind yourself today that He is your great Father who calms the winds and can make them cease altogether.

Nov 28 ~ KNOWING THE GOD WHO HEARS: BELIEVE GOD’S WORD
Nov 28 ~ KNOWING THE GOD WHO HEARS: BELIEVE GOD’S WORD
Psalm 34:17 “The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”
Because God is a God of order, we as His people must cry out to Him in righteousness for His ways are not like our ways. God promises to hear our prayer when we meet His requirements. 2 Chronicles 7:14 explains what we must do to get God’s attention. We as His people, must humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways. In turn, the Lord will attend to our prayer, forgive our sin, and heal our land.

Nov 27 ~ KNOWING THE GOD WHO HEARS: WE MUST BE PERSISTENT IN OUR PRAYER
Nov 27 ~ KNOWING THE GOD WHO HEARS: WE MUST BE PERSISTENT IN OUR PRAYER
Colossians 4:2 “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;”
We should never grow tired of praying, for this is how we talk and listen to God. Being persistent in our prayer shows our faith in knowing that God answers our prayer. Even if we don’t get an answer right away, our faith in God should not stop. Delay is God’s way of working His will in our lives. So as we pray today, let us be alert to hear God’s voice and be thankful for His blessings.
