Dec 16 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: UNWAVERING HOPE
Dec 16 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: UNWAVERING HOPE
Romans 12:12 “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;”
Let the hope that you have in God cause you to live with great joy. Regardless of circumstance, we should always let the gospel of Jesus Christ bring us everlasting joy. Our hope of Christ’s return, the hope of heaven, our hope in the promises of God, the foundation that we stand on, and so much more should leave us rejoicing! Let your hope be stronger than your uncertainties and your fears; let it cause you to rejoice. Our hope is built on nothing less than JESUS’ blood and righteousness!!

Dec 15 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: FOLLOWING IN HIS FOOTSTEPS!
Matthew 6:14 “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:”
l am a survivor of domestic violence. Thanks be to God, after getting baptized in Jesus’ name, and being filled with the Holy Ghost, I was able to forgive my abuser. Had I not been able to forgive, I would still be in bondage. I know that forgiveness is what set me free so that I can now WALK IN HIS FOOTSTEPS!

Dec 14 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: NIGHT VISION
Dec 14 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: NIGHT VISION
Proverbs 17:9 “He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.”
The current climate of the world is confusion and fear as as a result, the hearts of men and women both young and old are failing because of the darkness of uncertainty. Darkness is not an optimal time for humans both physically and spiritually speaking because we lack the ability to see in the night and when we can’t see, we fear. Man invented what is called NIGHT VISION which enables him to see in the dark of night to help him navigate. God has equipped the saint with NIGHT VISION through prayer and fasting, walking in us and showing us the way to life. Prayer gives us peace not because it’s not dark but because we are equipped with sight in the dead of night!

Dec 13 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: A LOVE LIKE NO OTHER
Dec 13 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: A LOVE LIKE NO OTHER
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Oh what manner of love is this that in our lowest state of being (sinners), Christ still died for us that we might be saved. Often times in our world, we only feel the need to give when the move and the mode is just right and tend to turn our backs on individuals who have mistreated us or took us for granted. However, the Bible commands that we be followers of Christ, walk according to His ways (1 Corinthians 11:1, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.”), and love those who even forsake us. Saints of God, the world has a blurry mirage of what love is, but we have the Biblical clarity of TRUE LOVE. Let us not be swayed by the façade of the world but stick to the sound doctrine of genuine love.

Dec 12 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: ARE YOU REALLY ONE OF HIS?
Dec 12 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: ARE YOU REALLY ONE OF HIS?
Matthew 7:21 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”
During the course of this national pandemic, we have seen many people doing good deeds, calling on the name of the Lord, sowing seeds, and some are even becoming a better version of themselves. The sad thing is, some people think that’s what it takes to make it into the kingdom of heaven. Saints and friends, do not be deceived by the world’s standards for salvation. Good works and deeds do not secure your spot in heaven; WE HAVE GOT TO LIVE HOLY!!!!!!

Dec 11 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: IS YOUR HEART UNOFFENDABLE?
Dec 11 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: IS YOUR HEART UNOFFENDABLE?
Ephesians 4:32 “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
We often find offense in someone’s words, their actions, their persona, and even their deeds. We have become so accustomed to holding on to grudges and offenses that have hurt us, that we forget how many times we have hurt others and even God. I read a quote that said, “Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting our “offender” to die from it.” Being easily offended destroys relationships, and as saints of God, it destroys our relationship with Him. Although we are presented with many opportunities to be offended, to be hurt, to lash out, to hold grudges, let’s forgive one another and follow peace with ALL men.

Dec 10 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: BE FORGIVING
Dec 10 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: BE FORGIVING
Matthew 6:12 “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.”
On January 17th of this year, I was in a terrible accident and was hit head-on by a young lady that police investigators believed fell asleep behind the wheel. I received several injuries from the accident and my vehicle was a complete loss. Many people would be angry with the young lady for drastically altering their life, but I prayed for her and constantly asked the nurses about her recovery and well-being. The Lord does not want us to have an unforgiving heart. We should love our neighbors and be forgiving, just as the Lord is forgiving to us.

Dec 9 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
Dec 9 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
Ephesians 4:31 “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:”
There are many sayings in life that deal with resolving conflict like “take the high road,” or “turn the other cheek.” Our flesh often times causes us to have ill feelings toward people we believe have wronged us and in turn, we can harbor malice and ill will toward our brothers and sisters. But if we follow the Word of God and pray for them, we will be at peace with the issue being an example to them of how a child of God handles conflict resolution. Show them that forgiveness and love is far better than grudges and hate. The next time you are faced with a conflict situation, ask yourself, “What Would Jesus Do”?

Dec 8 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: WE HAVE A CHOICE
Dec 8 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: WE HAVE A CHOICE
I John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
There is an old saying that life begins at 40 and at one time, I thought I was living the life! I’ve found that saying to be true. My oldest daughter never missed a service after she got saved. In the Spring of 1983, at the age of 41, I went with her to Faith Apostolic Church, heard the Word of God, repented of my sins, was baptized in Jesus’ name, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost! Today, I still choose to stay in the LIGHT!!

Dec 7 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: THE GREATEST OF ALL
Dec 7 ~ WALKING LIKE GOD: THE GREATEST OF ALL
I John 4:8 “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
You say you hate your brother, then I say you have not the love of God. To walk like God, we must have the love of God in us! On this “journey” walk, we need His love in us in order to forgive, to repent, to never lose faith and endure through every circumstance. John 15:13 says, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Remember, there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love, but the greatest of these is…you guessed it, LOVE!
