March 21 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  WE OWE GOD A PRAISE

March 21 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  WE OWE GOD A PRAISE

Psalm 150:6 “Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.”

As Psalm 150:6 shows us that the only requirement needed to praise is to have breath which God has given us.  Even in the midst of the pandemic and a chaotic world, there is still something for which to praise God.  When we praise God, we are not only thanking Him for what He has done, but magnifying Him simply for who He is.  Praising God brings us into His presence, allowing us to draw near to God, and it has the power to change a situation or circumstance.  The more you praise God (whether in a song, giving, dance, prayer, worship, testimony, etc) the better you will feel.

March 20 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: PRAISING HIM WITH MY MOUTH

March 20 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  PRAISING HIM WITH MY MOUTH

Psalm 109:30 “I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.”

Every part of our bodies was created to offer up praises to our Saviour.  We can praise God using our hands, feet, or even our mouth.  The Bible declares that God inhabits the praises of His people.  Therefore, we should declare the goodness of God among the multitude.  Dwell in His presence continually.

March 19 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  WE OWE GOD A PRAISE

March 19 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: WE OWE GOD A PRAISE

Hebrews 13:15 “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”

Praise is an essential part of worshiping God.  Regardless what we may face in this life, we owe God a praise.  Psalm 103: 1 says, “Praise the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me, bless his holy name.”

March 18 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: THE KINGDOM IS OURS

March 18 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  THE KINGDOM IS OURS

Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
We seek God’s kingdom through prayer, Bible reading, and studying the Word of God. The Word tells us that we are to always pray and to pray without ceasing. We are instructed to study the Word, take heed to what the Word says, and the Word will then enlighten us which in turn makes us walk upright. God reminds us in His Word that if we walk upright, no good thing will he withhold from us. That’s enough to offer Him praise.

March 17 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  WATCH THEM WORDS

March 17 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  WATCH THEM WORDS
James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:”

As people of God, our choice of action will always matter.  When approached with a difficult task, person, or relationship, be careful of the words you speak; ask God for guidance.  Inspite of what some people say, words do hurt.  Please remember that you are an ambassador for Jesus Christ.  Therefore give thanks and praise in all things because He is watching and listening to see if your words are helpful or harmful.

March 16~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: WALKING LIKE GOD

March 16~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: WALKING LIKE GOD

Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

As a child I was taught to do unto others as I would have them do unto me. God’s Word tells us to be slow to anger. So when we feel that we have been wronged, we need to think of the mercy, kindness, and forgiveness God has shown us and show it to others. So, let’s live the meaning of “Christianity” and choose to live according to God’s Word and show LOVE instead of anger or vengeance.

MARCH 15~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: LET US BE MINDFUL OF HOW WE SPEAK TOWARDS EACH OTHER

MARCH 15~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  LET US BE MINDFUL OF HOW WE SPEAK TOWARDS EACH OTHER

Proverbs 15:1 “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.”

James 1:19 states, “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.”  As followers of Christ, we should strive to exemplify love and peace toward others.  The words we speak and the messages that are delivered out of our mouths can either have a negative impact or positive impact on others.  In our journey with Christ, we will be tested, however we must remember who we represent.  If we would only apply Proverbs 15:1 to our individual lives and in the Church, we would see what a difference it would make.

MARCH 14~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: ACCEPTABLE IN THY SIGHT

MARCH 14~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  ACCEPTABLE IN THY SIGHT

Psalm 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.”

According to scripture, death and life are in the power of the tongue. The mouth speaks from the heart. So, whatever it utters, let it be positive, honorable, and acceptable to shew forth His praises. We should always remember that what goes in our mouth does not defile us, but what we spew out does. Always have an acceptable praise and meditation for God in your heart that He may be seen.

MARCH 13~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: A READY PRAISE

MARCH 13~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  A READY PRAISE

Psalms 100:4 “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”

We experience God’s grace daily so we should thank Him daily.  Every time we go before the Lord, we should always have a praise and a ‘thank you Jesus’ on our lips.  Each day we open our eyes to see a new day should be another day and opportunity to say ‘Thank You Jesus.’  Once we realize who God is in our lives and what God has done for us, we can’t help but to give Him praise.  So as saints, we should keep that mindset of praise.

MARCH 12~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: STICKS AND STONES

MARCH 12~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  STICKS AND STONES

Colossians 4:6 “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”

As a child we were told that sticks and stones would break our bones and that words could never hurt us.  As an adult, I have learned that this saying was not totally true!  Words have power to persuade life or death situations, to soothe troubled minds, to heal our bodies, and calm our fears.  The next time that you are in a situation or predicament that may be stressful or tension-filled, ask the Lord to help you to choose your words wisely so that you will not make the situation worse by speaking the wrong words.   Ask Him to give you words that will have a favorable outcome, words that will strengthen, uplift, calm, sooth, reconcile and most importantly words that will lead to life spiritually and/or naturally.
